The largest valves of the world
The Nord Stream gas pipeline on the Baltic seabed is unbelievably large - it will be 1224 km long connecting Russia and Germany. Also the valves are huge: Nord Stream has specially designed 102-ton overdimensional valves that will protect the entrance and exit.
